Who they were
Juan María Puigmitjá Rubio was born at Olot in Girona on 16 April 1919, made his temporary profession in 1935 and in the same year began the course in philosophy leading to the priesthood.
He was beatified on 28 October 2007 by Benedict XVI, among Ángel María Prat Hostench and his sixteen companions of the Order of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Mount Carmel, killed in 1936.
