María Ana Mogas Fontcuberta

Who they were
María Ana Mogas was born at Corró de Vall, near Barcelona, on 13 January 1827; orphaned young, she was raised by her aunt in Barcelona.
About 1848 she joined a group of Capuchin novices driven from their convent, and in 1850 at Ripoll became first superior of the Capuchin Tertiaries of the Divine Shepherd. She founded the Franciscan Missionaries of the Mother of the Divine Shepherd, for the education of girls and the care of the poor and sick.
