María del Carmen Zarazoga y Zaragoza

Who they were
María del Carmen Zarazoga y Zaragoza was born on 1 June 1889 at Villajoyosa in the province of Alicante and in 1916 entered the community of Saint Catherine of Siena in Barcelona, today the Dominican Sisters Teachers of the Immaculate Conception, where she carried out the duties of her state and was always ready and cheerful in helping and caring for her sisters.
She won the palm of martyrdom in the night between 7 and 8 August 1936. She was beatified on 28 October 2007 by Benedict XVI, among Antero Mateo García and his eleven companions of the Second and Third Orders of Saint Dominic.
