María Rosa Adrover Martí
Dominican sister, teacher and sacristan, martyr of the persecution in Spain
Who they were
María Rosa Adrover Martí was born on 22 July 1888 at San Roque in the province of Cádiz and in 1920 joined the community of Saint Catherine of Siena in Barcelona, where she was a teacher and sacristan and kept the rule faithfully.
She was seized and killed in the night between 7 and 8 August 1936 together with Sister María del Carmen Zarazoga y Zaragoza. She was beatified on 28 October 2007 by Benedict XVI, among Antero Mateo García and his eleven companions of the Second and Third Orders of Saint Dominic.
