Who they were
Maria Edelburgis Kubitzki, in the world Julianna, was born at Dąbrówka Dolna on 9 February 1905 and made her perpetual vows in 1936; she was brutally attacked and killed at Żary by a soldier of the Red Army on 20 February 1945. She was beatified on 11 June 2022 at Wrocław by Pope Francis among Maria Paschalis Jahn and nine companions.
