Who they were
Maria Felicitas Ellmerer, in the world Anna, was born at Grafing bei München on 12 May 1889 and made her perpetual profession in 1923; she was killed at Nysa on 25 March 1945 while defending her superior and herself from Soviet soldiers, crying out 'Long live Christ the King'. She was beatified on 11 June 2022 at Wrocław by Pope Francis among Maria Paschalis Jahn and nine companions.
