Who they were
Marina de Escobar, daughter of a learned and holy lawyer of Valladolid, devoted herself first to her own perfection and from forty-five to helping others. From fifty she was confined to her bed by constant illness for the rest of her life.
Guided by Luis de la Puente, she was called to found a reformed branch of the Brigittines and wrote down her revelations. She died on 9 June 1633.
