Who they were
Miguel Gómez Loza was born at Tepatitlán, Jalisco, on 11 August 1888, the son of farmers; as a boy he cared for his widowed mother. A married man and a lawyer, he was a tireless promoter of the Church's social teaching.
With his great friend Anacleto González Flores he worked in the Mexican Catholic Youth Association. He was martyred at Atotonilco el Alto on 21 March 1928.
