Who they were

Miguel Rodríguez Gonzáles was born at Piñera de Abajo on 10 June 1892 and spent his short life teaching in various schools of the Order until the murderous anti-Catholic fury found him in the convent of Las Caldas. He was beatified on 28 October 2007 by Pope Benedict XVI among the martyrs of the cause of Enrique Izquierdo Palacios and thirteen companions of the Order of Preachers.

As a martyr he was raised to the altars without a miracle.

Why that counted as sanctity

The Dicastery records that he spent his short life teaching in the Order's schools and was seized in the convent of Las Caldas.
