Who they were
Pelayo José Granado Prieto was a priest of the Congregation of the Mission, born at Santa María de los Llanos near Cuenca on 30 July 1895 and ordained on 25 May 1923. He was killed at Soto del Barco on 27 August 1936. Pope Francis beatified him on 13 October 2013, among the martyrs of Fortunato Velasco Tobar and thirteen companions of the Congregation of the Mission.
