In the stretch of sea off Rochefort on the French coast, Blesseds Jean-Baptiste Duverneuil, of the Order of Discalced Carmelites, and Pierre-Arède Labrouhe de Laborderie, canon of Clermont-Ferrand, priests and martyrs, who during the French Revolution, held together on a prison ship because of their priesthood, died worn out by disease.
