Who they were
Publio Fernández González, in the world Publius Victorinus, was born at Otero de las Duenas near Leon on 24 May 1908 and made temporary vows in the Hospitaller Order of St John of God on 8 September 1934. He is named in the decree on the martyrdom of Mauricio Íñiguez de Heredia Alzóla and twenty-three companions of the Order, killed between 1936 and 1937, and he was beatified on 13 October 2013 by Pope Francis.
