Born on 29 March 1896, he made his solemn vows in 1918 and was ordained priest in 1922; he taught church history and patristics. He was beatified on 28 October 2007 by Benedict XVI with Eusebio del Niño Jesús (in the world Ovidio Fernández Arenillas) and 15 companions of the Order of Discalced Carmelites.
