Priest of the Sons of the Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph, martyr of the persecution in Spain
Who they were
Ramón Oromi Sullà was born at Salàs de Pallars, near Lleida, on 16 September 1875, made his religious profession in 1894 and was ordained priest in 1900. He was arrested at Barcelona on 26 April 1937 because he was a priest, thrown into the prison of Sant Elies, and killed. Pope Francis beatified him on 13 October 2013, among the martyrs of Iacobus Puig Mirosa and nineteen companions of the Congregation of the Sons of the Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph.
