Iacobus Puig Mirosa

Who they were

Iacobus Puig Mirosa was born at Terrassa, near Barcelona, on 3 June 1908, made his religious profession in the Sons of the Holy Family in 1924 and was ordained priest in 1932. He was seized in the house of Sebastián Llorens and, after a deceitful and cruel questioning, was killed because he was a priest. Pope Francis beatified him on 13 October 2013, among the martyrs of Iacobus Puig Mirosa and nineteen companions of the Congregation of the Sons of the Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph.
