Rosa Jutglar Gallart

Who they were

Rosa Jutglar Gallart was born on 25 January 1900 at Sabassona in the diocese of Vic, entered the Sisters of Saint Dominic of the Annunciation at Vic and was sent to the college of Saint Rose of Lima at Manresa, where she was sacristan and teacher and won everyone's regard by her kindness and her way of life.

She gained the palm of martyrdom on 27 July 1936 with Sister Reginalda Picas Planas, forgiving her killers and praying for them before she died. She was beatified on 28 October 2007 by Benedict XVI, among Antero Mateo García and his eleven companions of the Second and Third Orders of Saint Dominic.
