Who they were
A priest of the clergy of the Archdiocese of Toledo, born on 29 November 1866 at Brihuega, who was killed in the persecution in Spain in 1936. The decree records that it is not certain whether he was killed on 5 or 6 August.
He was beatified on 28 October 2007 by Benedict XVI, one of Liberio González Nombela and his twelve companions of the clergy of the Archdiocese of Toledo.
The miracles
As a martyr he was raised to the altars without a miracle.
Why that counted as sanctity
The decree on martyrdom found that Liberio and his companions were killed in hatred of the faith.
