At Trier in Gallia Belgica, in present-day Germany, Saint Severus, bishop, who, a disciple of Saint Lupus of Troyes, was a companion of Saint Germanus of Auxerre in the struggle against the Pelagian heresy in Britain and preached the Gospel of Christ among the Germans.

There was never a formal cause: he has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.

Why that counted as sanctity

The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 15 October as a bishop of Trier who fought Pelagianism in Britain with Saint Germanus and preached among the Germans.
