Lupus of Troyes

Who they were

At Troyes in Lugdunensis Gaul, in present-day France, Saint Lupus, bishop, who went to Britain together with Saint Germanus of Auxerre to defeat the Pelagian heresy, defended his city by prayer from the fury of Attila and, having honourably completed fifty-two years of priesthood, rested in peace.

The miracles

There was never a formal cause: he has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.

Why that counted as sanctity

The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 29 July as the bishop of Troyes who fought Pelagianism with Saint Germanus and defended his city from Attila by prayer.
