Who they were
Vladimir, grandson of St Olga, was raised a pagan and fought his way to rule over Russia. After his conversion he brought Christianity to his people.
He set up Church courts and became known for mildness and zeal in spreading the faith. He died at Berestova on 15 July 1015.
The miracles
His feast is kept in the Russian Orthodox and Ruthenian Greek Catholic calendars; there was never a formal cause.
