Francesc Mayol Oliver

Who they were

A coadjutor brother of the Missionary Congregation of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary, born on 31 May 1871 at Vilafranca de Bonany, who made his perpetual vows as a coadjutor brother in 1896 and was killed on 23 July 1936 with two of his fellow religious.

He was beatified on 28 October 2007 by Benedict XVI, in the cause of Simó Reynés Solivellas and his companions.

The decree on martyrdom names him among the Servants of God held at once to be martyrs of the faith.
