Who they were

The decree on martyrdom lists her among the Daughters of the House of the Handmaids of the Blessed Sacrament and of Charity, born on 17 June 1888 at Girona, who stayed for a time with the Girona community and moved to Madrid in 1925; in the world she was María de la Merced Tuñi Ustech. She was beatified on 28 October 2007 by Pope Benedict XVI.

Named in the decree on martyrdom among Manuela del Corazón de Jesús and twenty-two companions of the Handmaids of the Blessed Sacrament and of Charity killed in Spain in 1936.
