Vincent Pallotti

Who they were
Vincenzo Pallotti was born in Rome on 21 April 1795, third of ten children, and was ordained in the Lateran basilica on 16 May 1818, a priest of the Roman clergy.
He founded the Society of the Catholic Apostolate and by writing and works urged all the baptised to work generously for the Church, promoting the role of the laity ahead of his time and overcoming the distrust of churchmen.
